From Ken Wilson:
I am writing to you from the H2O offices in Poland (http://www.h2oextrememakeover.blogspot.com). Today is really the first free time I have had since arriving in Europe. In general my times has been filled with a lot of pastoral connection with friends and people in ministry in Czech and Poland wrapped around a Men’s Conference Friday and Saturday and Preaching on Sunday.
On Friday Marek and I traveled across the country to Malenovice for the first of two men’s Conferences in the country. Four Years ago the Mens Conference started with a group of 12 men in Moravia (Eastern Czech) and has grow so much that last year the Conference was split in two with one conference in Moravia and the other in Bohemia (Western Czech). This year both Conferences have grow and we had 115 the first weekend and anticipate 60 more next weekend (this number fills the Conference centers to capacity). The Men were very responsive to looking at the life of Abraham as a lesson in what to do and what not to do as a man (Yes, I am aware that I just finished preaching through the Life of Abraham and this made it much easier. Thank You very much.) Although it is not always easy to judge the responsiveness of the men here I have been encouraged by some feedback that came my way as well as the fact that all of the discussion groups lasted for longer than the time planned. (To see more about the Men’s Ministry go to http://www.s-a-m.cz/. SAM is the Czech acronym for “Fellowship of Active Men.” I now have a SAM T-shirt.)
Today I have already spoken to the H20 staff and tonight will speak again to a group of men from Greg’s church before heading out tomorrow on a return trip to the Czech and another Men’s Conference, two english Camp Reunions, interviews in Silva’s English Classes (clear opportunities to share my faith and invite students to English Camp) and preaching in Prague on Sunday before returning on Monday.
For the Only Cause that Matters,
