Message Outline:
The Parable of the Vineyard (Luke 20:9-19)
The Parable: (20:9-19)
The religious leaders/nation of Israel will reject Jesus, like they rejected the prophets, and be replaced in God’s plan by the Apostles/Gentile dominated church.
- God graciously established the nation of Israel (20:9).
- God graciously sent His Word to the nation, which they rejected (20:10-12).
- God graciously sent His beloved Son to the nation whom they killed (20:13-18).
- God justly replaced the religious leaders/nation of Israel with the Apostles/Gentile dominated church (20:16,19).
The Principles: (20:9-19)
- When God’s graciously chosen people reject His authority in their lives they will be removed
from their place in the plan of God. - God graciously calls us to be a part of His plan (20:9).
- God graciously sent His authoritative Word to His people (20:10-12).
- God graciously sent His beloved, authoritative Son to His people (20:13-18).
- God justly replaces His people in His plan when they are not submissive to His Word and authority (20:16,19).
- God opened a door for all people to enter and be a part of His story.
