The Crucifixion (Luke 23:26-49)
A Bystander and a Group of Women: (23:26-31)
The women following Jesus mourn for him; however, Jesus’ reply shows He is not a martyr, but a judge.
Two Criminals and a Group of Bystanders: (23:32-35)
Clothes divided up, mocked by unbelieving leaders, and crucified among criminals, Jesus pled for their forgiveness.
Mocking Soldiers and Two Criminals: (23:36-43)
As Jesus was being mocked by soldiers and a criminal, He offered paradise to the one who believed.
Bystanders and a Group of Women: (23:44-49)
While heaven and earth grieved, Jesus gave His life for our sins provoking faith in some and disbelief in others.
