God’s people receive God’s “hesed” love and are conduits of that same love to others.
• The poor
• The widow
• The aliens among us
Ruth’s Rest – God’s people recognize their need for rest and who can provide it.
Ruth’s Redemption – God’s people remember what they have been redeemed out of and respond with “hesed” love.
God’s Relentless Plan – God’s people can be part of His plan of redemption.
Ruth’s life is a picture of God’s grace and relentless plan
to redeem His people back into a relationship with Himself
which provides ultimate rest.
Next Steps From Today’s Message
- I will look for opportunities to extend “hesed” to those around me throughout the holiday.
- I will be faithful to God and look for how He wants to use me to further His story.
