Final Words: Essential Values of Disciples (Luke 22:21-38)
Sovereign Betrayal: (22:21-23)
The sovereignty of God does not negate the responsibility of man so remain faithfully aware.
Humble Service: (22:24-30)
The example of Jesus demonstrates the priority of service so continue humbly serving.
Renewed Commitment: (22:31-34)
The schemes of Satan guarantee times of temptation so stand vigilantly prepared.
Sufficient Provision: (22:35-38)
The provision of God does not eliminate persecution so become thankfully ready.
In the face of opposition and temptation disciples trust God for provision
as they humbly serve and embrace restoration.

Next Steps from Today’s message
I will seriously look at my life and see if I am serving like Jesus or striving for position and power.
I will recognize how frail and vulnerable I am and begin to rely on the resources of God (prayer, scripture community).
Please remember to pray for our summer mission trips.
