For the past thirty plus years, Dave and Michelle have served in full-time ministry – twenty-two in global missions—fourteen of those in Asia equipping local church leaders, and the past eight years in senior executive mission leadership in the US. Following graduation and their marriage in 1985, Dave and Michelle launched into full-time Christian work reaching students for Christ under the leadership of Steve Shadrach with Student Mobilization at the University of Arkansas and later opening the StuMo campus work at Central Arkansas. It was during the latter part of these campus ministry years that they began to have a heart to see new local churches start as they were part of the founding families of Fellowship Bible Church Conway. Their passion was growing to reach out cross-culturally —to reach those who have never heard of Christ around the world. Later as the Rofkahrs were in Dallas as Dave was completing the ThM at Dallas Seminary, he was captured by what he calls a “holy discontentment moment.” Sensing God’s leading that they needed to direct their ministry to equipping house-church leaders in Asia, Dave and Michelle joined EFCA ReachGlobal and moved to Asia with their two young sons, Nathan (9) and Joel (7) and would shortly welcome daughter, Rachel. Following their service and leadership in Asia, Dave was asked by mission leadership to return to the US to join the senior leadership team of the mission to recruit a new generation of laborers for the harvest. Having a strong passion to reach the unreached, Dave has now said yes, to the invitation from Steve Shadrach (again!) – the founder of the Center for Missions Mobilization (CMM) – to succeed him as the next Executive Director. This move brings Dave and Steve full circle as it was Steve who first invited Dave and Michelle to join him in college ministry over 30 years ago at the University of Arkansas.
Discipleship 101 | November 26 | 6-8:00 p.m.
Join next Discipleship 101 training will be Monday, November 26th, from 6-8pm in the Venue. We are going to be working through Soteriology, the study of Salvation. The doctrine of Salvation must be the most important theme in the Scriptures, and as believers, we should have a good understanding of this doctrine. Sign up at fellowshipconway.org/register and RSVP Shann@conwaycorp.net for childcare. If you have questions please contact Michael Harrison at firstname.lastname@example.org
Every year, CoHO (City of Hope Outreach)provides a Thanksgiving meal for the people living within the communities they serve. For some in the community, their financial constraints mean that this is the only opportunity they have to celebrate this holiday. We have the opportunity to partner with CoHO by providing food items for this meal. If you would like to help, please contact Mary Nabholz at 501-499-1083 or email email@example.com.
