Three or Four Men in a Fiery Furnace
The Pride of the King (3:1-12).
- Pride always perverts your perspective (3:1-2).
- The power of pressure may cause you to compromise (3:3-7).
- Loyalty to the Lord may lead others to attack your faith (3:8-12).
Worshipping the true God sets you apart and brings pressure to conform.

- The call to compromise is a challenge to God (3:13-15).
- God’s people know His power even when they do not know His plan (3:16-18).
- The powerfully proud are committed to removing the people of God (3:19-23).
God’s ability to save is clear and consistent, while His specific timing is not.
Thriving in Babylon: Fully trust both the ability and sovereignty of God.
Thriving in Babylon: If you must disobey the law to obey God, be courteous and committed.
The Deliverance of the Lord (3:24-30).
- The world wonders when they get a glimpse of God’s glory (3:24-27).
- The world praises the power of God because of the faith of His followers (2:28-29).

In the end God will be worshipped and His followers rewarded.
Thriving in Babylon: Stay faithful to God no matter what the cost.

Next Steps from Today’s message
I will repent of my own pride and self-centeredness.
I will obey God and worship Him, no matter what the cost.
