Living on Mission: Declare the Wonders of God
The church of Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit
is God’s plan to get the gospel to all people.
Living on Mission
• The church must embrace the multifaceted role of the Holy Spirit in our life and ministry.
• The church must never shrink back from a bold proclamation of the wonders of God.
This Week’s Growth Guide
God’s Word is both central and critical to your spiritual growth.
We invite you to utilize the Growth Guide during the week to further your application of the Truth from the message.
• Monday – Ephesians 5:15-21
• Tuesday – Galatians 5:16-26
• Wednesday – 1 Corinthians 12:1-3
• Thursday – 1 Corinthians 14:1-5, 22-25
• Friday – Acts 2:14-41
Our Home Churches meet weekly to facilitate quicker relational depth, study the same passage taught Sunday to help apply Scripture in the context of community, and pray with one another. Home Church helps our body seek God’s best for one another.
Home Church Questions
• Read Acts 1:15-26.
• Is there anything new, interesting or memorable from today’s message?
• Is there an immediate application you know you need to make? How can your Home Church support you in your obedience to make this application?
• What part of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is confusing?
• How do you experience the ministry of the Holy Spirit?
• The ministry of the Spirit points to Christ and points us to Christ. How is this not something you see in the church today?
• What are some safeguards we all need as we think about the internal work of the Holy Spirit?

OCC Packing party | September 17 | 6:00 p.m.
As we study the book of Acts, where Luke is encouraging believers to follow in the footsteps and directives of the Risen Savior, one clear directive is for us to take the good news of salvation to those near and far. FBC has an immediate action step we can take in response to that call. On Monday, September 17, from 6-9 we will be involved in our annual Operation Christmas Child packing party. We will pack, cartonize, and load 2400 Gospel Opportunities in the form of shoe boxes. We would love all who are able to join us for this fun and important evening. We are normally done by 8 and then clean up from 8-9. Child Care for children 6 years and under by RSVP to Shann@conwaycorp.net. We will have light finger foods and water available as well. Hope to see you there!
