The women’s retreat, Oct. 11-13, 2013, was a great getaway for 43 Fellowship women. Our speakers shared what God had taught them regarding our identity in Christ, and all were challenged and moved. Discussion groups further probed into greater introspection, growing faith and correctly seeing ourselves as daughters of the King. Many of the women had never attended a Fellowship retreat before, and they loved the times of talking with friends, meeting new friends, meals prepared for us and free time on Saturday afternoon. The worship team took us before the throne, and all of us were blessed. Over the weekend we were refreshed and renewed in our relationship with God and connected deeper with other women!
Here are some snap shots from some of the women who took part.
The authenticity of the women in the Fellowship body blessed me – the speakers encouraged it! That is what a church body should be all about and it’s hard to find!
Loved having lots of time for discussion in our small groups as well as the depth of the questions asked. This gave women a chance to open up and share their hearts without feeling rushed. -Joanie Roberts
What blessed me most was just being there with the women from our church for 1 1/2 days, in a beautiful setting enjoying their company and not having my regular responsibilities. There is always a warmth and kind presence among the women and we just get to relax. We have all been touched by the deep love of Christ and our loving heavenly Father and that is felt when we are together. -Marti Evans
Thanks so much to all who helped make this great weekend happen, especially our speakers and worship team. We prayed that God would be glorified, and He certainly was!
