GO: Czech | Summer 2017 | Update #2 from Pisek

Ahoj Fellowship!

The Pisek team is having an amazing time at camp! Thank you for supporting us through prayer! We have had the opportunity to see each person on our team serving in their S.H.A.P.E.

Alex Velte has done a wonderful job as he leads all of our music in his first year at camp! He pumps us up with camp songs, and helps us to focus on Jesus and why we are here with our worship songs.

Josh Wilson has been incredible! He documents all that is happening here at camp and puts together an excellent slideshow that is shown in our evening programming each night. He captures the real spirit of the day, and the campers love it!

Austin Orvin is bringing it this year! He is our Czech speaking emcee and our icebreaker extraordinaire. We can always count on him to bring the energy.

Grace Delph is really coming into her own as a first year camp leader. She is a rockstar, and is really working those dance moves! She is one of our camp dance leaders, and has really done a great job.

Emily Evans also leads the camp dance. She is a seasoned camp leader, and is a huge blessing to our team! She has done a wonderful job with her class and jumping in to make new relationships.

Grace Wilson is another first year camp leader. She is really demonstrating the truth that they will know we are Christians by our love. She is fully engaged and does an excellent job loving on our Czech girls!

Evan Fulmer is always absorbed in conversation. He brings a lot of social energy and is willing to have deeper conversations as well. Everyone loves hanging out with Evan, our crazy American! 🙂

Kari is such a huge blessing to our team. She is the picture of an unselfish leader. She ministers to the Czechs as well as to our team. We could not do this without her.

Yesterday, many of us played sports, participated in the “man” challenge, did crafts, or received beauty treatments. Today was hike day. It was great to hear and see more significant conversations happening all around. There is something about walking side by side in the middle of God’s creation that opens people up to speak about more significant issues. Overall, we are building relationships and planting seeds.

We have a few things ahead of us that you can lift up in prayer. Tomorrow night (Wednesday night) will be Gospel Night. This is when we make a clear presentation of the gospel. They will hear the Good News, and then take a personal journey through a labyrinth where they’re asked to think about where their spiritual life’s journey. When they complete the labyrinth, they will have the opportunity to talk with people in a tearoom, ask any questions they might have, and/or place their faith in Christ.

Please pray for fertile soil as these seeds are planted, and that God will use us greatly as we desire to be faithful witnesses and ambassadors for Christ. God is working in the Czech Republic and we are so blessed to be a part of it.

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
– 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 NLT
