Děkuji vám! Thank You!
Thank you so much for praying for us throughout this week. We have had a fantastic camp. Shane has pastored our team so well and even stepped in to lead a discussion group of young Czech guys at night. Bear and Laura Klenda (back for the second year) have reallyxstepped up their leadership this year as Bear has been the “game master” and MC for the camp this week and has done a great job. Laura has been a great guide for all of our girls and her experience from last year is really making a difference. Brittney Webster (B-Webb) has been a first time all-star constantly in purposeful conversations with Czech. Ben Hughey, who is back at Camp for the Third Year is once again leading the “Airsoft” classes for the guys with the able assistance of his first timer younger brother Daniel. Bryce and Bob are continuing their strong tradition as the anchors of humor and excitement in any and every setting (whether called for or not.)
Caroline Osborne is, well what can I say, amazing. She leads worship with Jack Evans, who has really stepped into a significant leadership role this year, and is leading a drama class with Czech’s and doing skits at night. Rachel started the week of evening talks with a personal testimony that set the tone of openness for our whole camp. Chris Caldwell may not come home because I think he has discovered his ancient Czech roots. Seriously, everyone here thinks he is Czech (Don’t let Kayla read this!) Shane Caldwell on the other hand, let’s just say he is always surrounded by girls – enough said. Lizzie Adams is back for the second year and deepening relationships that started last year. Last night in my discussion group Lizzie’s clear sharing of the gospel and her own story was a beautiful thing to behold. Corrine has been the bolt of energy and excitement at every meeting; dancing, singing, laughing (oh that laugh) and bringing light into every room. Kyler Tipton is a natural. Passionate about every event and conversation. He has amazed me this year. And, finally, after a six year break from Czech trips, Phil Eberhard and returned as an reservoir of excitement, experience and theology that has been a real blessing. I am privileged to be a part of this year’s team.
Tonight is a critical time at camp. We have been sharing the gospel all week and I have even been making some pointed calls and challenges to not just be a part of the Archa Church Youth Group but to actually make a commitment to Christ. But tonight the entire focus of the evening is around the gospel and the opportunity to make a decision for Christ tonight. We will have a Čajovna (Chaiovna = Tea Room) where gospel conversations are the focus of the evening. So we need your prayers more than ever. The program starts at 7:15 p.m. Czech time which will be 12:15 p.m. Conway Time. Whether you can pray at that time or not (prosím) please pray for the conversations we will have and the hearts of Czech Students to be open to the gospel.
We are in a sprint from now until we leave to come home next Wednesday. But tonight is critical. If you have just been reading the updates to this point, please take time to pray for us today. We need it and these Czech students deserve it.
For the only Cause that Matters,
-Ken
