We have finished our first day of ministry in Rivas and spirits our high. We are here at the end of the raining season and the rains are still coming down but not hard enough to be a problem. Everybody is healthy, safe and have had a shower.
Jim and I had a fantastic start at the Bible Institute with 94 pastors and church leaders in attendance the first day. We are teaching how to prepare and deliver biblical messages and the pastors are very eager to learn. This is a bit nostalgic for me because this is the class I taught with Jim on my first trip to Nicaragua in 2002.
The reports from Anna’s feeding center include the following statements. “I am taking a shower.” “We dug ditches.” I was asked to get supplies to get the job done so I bought three pair of gloves.” “I’ll be right back a baby pooped on me today.” “All three wires were hot, including the ground.” “It went fine until we overheated the batteries.” And, “Listen to this, It’s Adlee leading worship. He’s a Rock Star.”
The opportunities for ministry are endless here so pray that we will be strategic and make wise decisions and invest in things that make a difference for the kingdom. The week of ministry is still ahead but the days will pass more quickly than we want to imagine.
Safe and Sound (a little soggy).
For the Only Cause that Matters,
