I hope your first week of Home Church went better than you hoped as you reconnected and, for some, added new faces to the group. What we do represents over 360 adults. That’s 360 people we desire to see grow in their relationship with God and with others in their HC. It is a heavy responsibility, yet an amazing calling that we get to be part of! There will be days of jubilee, times of sorrow, doubt, hurt, and frustration but through it all – He is Worthy! He is Present! He is Providing!
A few reminders, the elders have asked me to keep them up-to-date of, among many other items, how attendance is in HC. It is one thing to have a roster of names, but to see real data on if the roster equals attendance or if it is more like a church roll (I think I am still considered a member of the church I came from to Fellowship 11 years ago). If you did not get an email with the subject “Post Attendance Reminder for ____ Home Church” we need to get you an inFellowship account and make sure you are up and running.
Also, if you shared the “Norms of Home Church” this week, let me know how it went in week 1. For those of you who shared, during weeks 2 and 3 you should do refreshers (not as extensive, but as reminders), since I know it will take that many weeks to have everyone hear it. Remember the reason why we are doing the norms is to accomplish the “why” of Home Church – relationships – with God and one another. If we miss on a regular basis it is tough building deep relationships with one another and helping each other grow to Jesus. We also miss what the Lord is doing in your life that may encourage or challenge us in our walk (and vice-versa). This is not about numbers, it is about RELATIONSHIP.
