After a uneventful trip with easy connections and a smooth arrival in the Czech Republic we have made our way to Hotel Brylov about an hour south of Prague. We are here with three other American teams for training before we head to camp on Friday. With all of the American teams (I.e. everybody has an iPhone) Internet time is very hard to get.
Everybody is finally rested and we are spending some focused time in prayer and final preparations for Camp. English classes are being prepared and we are getting some great cultural training from some actual Czechs. This has been quite valuable to hear about the nature of Czechs from their perspective. An interesting survey was recently done that revealed that while Czech is the most atheistic country in the world 67% of students believe there is a spiritual realm that they do not understand. This is exciting to hear and provides a great open door for us.
Please be praying that we will continue to get adjusted to Czech time and that our incorporation of the Czech leaders into our team will go well. We have such a strong and tightly bonded team I think we are a bit intimidating to the young Czech leaders who have joined us.
We are all doing well and looking forward to getting busy at camp. We all send our greetings to parents and family and will update again when we get to camp and have a little better access to the Internet.
