Where I Grew Up:
Little Rock, AR
BA in Music, Hendrix College
After graduating from college, I worked for a college ministry for a few years. During that time, we had academic training sessions that were sometimes taught by this guy named Ken Wilson. I was in and out of Conway during that time, but when I was in town, I came to Fellowship. After helping with corporate worship for Fellowship Arkadelphia, which was a plant at the time, my job moved me to Conway, and I started helping with the worship team at Fellowship Conway.
Ken and I actually initiated a dialogue with each other simultaneously. After one Sunday, I sought the counsel of a couple of friends (one named Shane Wanamaker) and ended up calling and leaving a voicemail for Ken saying that I was interested in the worship pastor position. Later that day, Ken called me, not having listened to my voicemail, and asked if I would be interested in the position. I believe my official start date was 4 months later.
Fellowship has been my church family for the best, hardest, most formative years in my life. Less than 2 years after my start date, my father died of metastatic melanoma. The year after that, Page and I got married. The people of this church walk with each other through the valleys and celebrate the high points together. In a world whose values are fickle and constantly shifting, this local body of believers devotes itself to biblical truth that stands firm no matter what trials life may bring.
