Two of three sessions at the Men’s Conference in Bohemia (Western Czech) have been completed and I have a moment to pause and give you a quick update and ask for a specific prayer request. This conference is going very well. The energy here is great. We have more than twice as many men as last year and it has been great. I mentioned yesterday that one of Silva’s colleagues was in the class when I shared and she was very interested. Those are the things you never plan on but God puts in your path and it is amazing to see. Well, a similar thing has happened at the Men’s Conference. Even in the face of a massive snow fall yesterday we have 53 men here at the conference but, unexpectedly, five Roma men (the politically incorrect term is “gypsy”) men have come from Brno. This is a significant opportunity and has the potential to make a real impact in a community where men are really not very involved in leading their families in godly ways. The response of the Czechs has been interesting. Some are curious, some are bothered and some seem to be proud that they “talked to the gypsy guys.” Pray that these men feel welcomed and are receptive to the Men’s Ministry here.
I really am amazed that I have the opportunity to be a small part of what God is doing here. Thank you all for your prayers and for “sending me away” for these trips.
