That is a great question. The answer is simple too. Because that’s how God has designed our hearts to thrive. See, the church isn’t sent on a mission by God but commanded to join God as He is on His mission. Do you see the difference? A “Home Church” is a spiritual family that has “God’s Mission” at its very core. A “Home Church” does not exist for a short period or a set of tasks but to see Jesus proclaimed among its surroundings. So, it doesn’t matter how long you will be in town or what age you are because those particulars are based on short term facts. God has called us to join His mission. Community is not the Goal. Mission is the Goal. Community is the beautiful conduit that Mission flows through.
Take a look at how others are describing what we call “Home Church” in this quote from Neil Cole.
“The DNA of a missional community is:
1. Divine Truth—the presence of the Spirit of Jesus and His Word
2. Nurturing Relationships—the many “one anothers” found in the NT
3. Apostolic Mission—being sent ones, individually and as a community.”

Through Home Churches, the Fellowship body is “on mission” to see Jesus proclaimed through personal relationships. Our Home Churches are small groups of people who are known for their FULL HEADS, FULL HEARTS and FULL LIVES. Visit a Home Church!
